Description
Designed specifically for pre-hospital practitioners, the Resuscitation Council UK Out-of-Hospital Advanced Life Support (OH-ALS) course develops the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required to manage critically ill patients and cardiac arrest in the out-of-hospital environment.
This intensive two-day, face-to-face course combines interactive workshops, practical skill stations and realistic clinical simulations. Participants will learn to recognise and manage the deteriorating patient using the structured ABCDE approach, deliver high-quality advanced life support, adapt treatment for special circumstances and work effectively as both a team member and team leader during pre-hospital emergencies.
Suitable For
The course is suitable for registered healthcare professionals working in pre-hospital care, including paramedics, critical care paramedics, doctors, nurses, HEMS clinicians and other appropriately qualified practitioners.​
Further Information
The course lasts for two days – the program starts promptly at 08:30 and finishes around 18:00. Candidates booking onto the course will receive the course manual a minimum of 4 weeks before the course start date – please note that there is now NO post course MCQ – it is mandatory by the RCUK that the precourse MCQ must be completed before the start of day 1. If not completed, you will not be allowed to take part in the teaching and no refund will be given.
